When choosing a developer, the list of technologies is the easy question. The harder one is what happens during the project: how the requirements are clarified, when you hear from me, and what happens to the code once the work is done. This page answers those questions.
I listen to your ideas and add my own suggestions. Within a few days I come back with a complete plan.
The quote includes the fee and the development schedule with milestones and deadlines. Pricing is fixed-price or hourly, as agreed.
I keep to the agreed schedule and present the results of every milestone.
At the end of the project I hand over the complete source code and user documentation. Full training is available on request.
I provide a warranty of up to one year on delivered work, and ongoing development is also available.
Email is the primary channel because it is easy to search and verify. For urgent matters I am also available by phone.
An expected time frame takes shape during our discussions, and once the tasks are listed I give an exact deadline. If a delay is likely, I let you know immediately.
To me, clean code means descriptive function and variable names. Version control records every change in detail, and developer documentation is written for the system.
Everything discussed in our meetings, whether business know-how or personal information, is treated as confidential. On request, we can include this in the contract.
I usually entrust graphic design to specialised partners, so both the development and the visual design are in the best hands.
I keep everyone on the project up to date and prefer joint meetings, so we can plan the workflow together and efficiently.
Business interfaces, portals and internal systems from frontend to database.
On request I work fully transparently: with private access, you can follow the progress of the work at any time.
A typical web solution is completed in 1–2 months. Beforehand we go through the requirements in detail, so later clarifications do not slow down the work.
Desktop and server applications in Delphi, C#/.NET and C++.
After a detailed requirements analysis I define the data structures, then build the functionality and the user interface. This way you get exactly what you asked for.
I write detailed user documentation, and training is available on request.
Technology selection, system assessment and development direction before a decision.
I always gather the most up-to-date information available, so the advice is never outdated.
Within as little as 1–2 days I can put together a concrete brief that is sufficient for making the decision on its own.
Preparing developers and teams in coding, version control and database design.
In both one-to-one and group sessions I teach through practical examples, which makes the material stick more easily.
Typically, after 4–5 sessions participants can work with the code or software at an advanced level.

Between 2009 and 2017 I developed client and financial record-keeping systems for brokerage firms, including a distributed trading solution that was unique on the market, and led the development department.
Since 2017 I have been the lead developer of a real-time spam filtering system for corporate email. The system is twenty years old, I took it over nine years ago, and it is used by several hundred international customers. Details are covered by a non-disclosure agreement.
I am currently working on public reference projects, so that my current work can be reviewed at code level. They will be listed here once they are ready.
Describe what you need in a few lines and I will reply within 24 hours. By phone I am available on weekdays between 9:00 and 17:00 (CET).
